Guided by our creative director, Jess Begum, we oversee everything from initial concept to careful selection of florals to the final details of arrangements, design and delivery. Our goal is to bring our clients’ vision to life.
Jess Begum is the founder and creative director for Fireweed. Jess’ mom was a floral designer so she has been around flowers for as long as she can remember. After working in the floral industry for decades, she founded Fireweed in 2018. Jess has a background in fine art and utilizes her artistic talents and strong knowledge of color theory in her designs. Her art background is her strongest asset to her floral style and she loves to showcase her creativity through large scale floral installations.
Teresa Aldave joined the Fireweed in 2021 as the operations manager. She worked in retail operations for many years and brings an organized, detail-oriented business side to the Fireweed team. Teresa spent the first six months at Fireweed doing everything and anything flower related including early morning market runs, flower processing, cleaning buckets, and yes, even floral design. Although new to the floral industry, Teresa is quite talented at design! Teresa’s new title is “operations with a side of flowers.”
With Jess’ creative side and Teresa’s business side, they make a perfect match for all things flowers. They are confident they can execute your vision with vision, style, professionalism and grace.
